One Barrel for an Ace

VfB-Partner Rothaus spends a 5 liter barrel of finest beer for every ace the VfB makes at a home match / Picture Kram

The new attraction of the VfB's home matches is called "Für's Ass ein Fass!", one barrel for an ace. During the match against TV Bühl, 3 barrels filled with 5 liter Rothaus-beer had already been acclaimed trough the players' indefensible services. The second home match against Netzhoppers KW Bestensee gathered even nine new barrels.

The campaign is easy to explain: For every ace scored by Stelian Moculescus team, the fans will recieve a 5l barrel from the VfB partner Rothaus in the end of the season.Therefore, even the first game provided 15l of Rothaus-beer for the fans of the current German Champion. "This is the best idea by far since years", commented fan representative Rudi Krafcik. "The effect on the atmosphere was fantastic and already obvious on saturday".

To keep an eye on the won barrels, you can either check the two information banners on the homepage (one on the cover page and one on the fan page) or visit the ZF Arena, where you will find a tube out of plexiglas, filled with midget barrels substitutional for the number of the won barrels.

"The more, the better", says Krafcsik, "the whole bunch is looking forward to the end of the season". VfB manager Stefan Mau joins this opinion and streches out, that the players hereby give something back. "The fans come and support their team. Our visitors get something back of what they are giving their team every game day", says Mau. "Even better, that we can combine this campaign with our longstanding partner Rothaus".
